(Cornus kousa var. chinensis.) This is a variety of the Kousa dogwood--one of our favorite trees, noted for disease resistance, beautiful white flowers in June, and multi-season interest. Attractive pinkish-red fruits in fall that birds love to eat. Good fall leaf color.
Chinese Dogwood is very similar to the regular Kousa dogwood except that flowers, leaves, and fruit are larger. What's not to like about that? Ours are about 5' tall. Kousa dogwoods are usually multi-trunked, but are sometimes trained to have a single trunk. We have both forms in stock.
